Markus Mars is a boundary-pushing electric violinist, live looping artist, and sound-guided meditation facilitator known for redefining soundscapes. Originating from the Austrian Alps, Markus's musical journey spans classical violin training to a diverse exploration of jazz, rock, blues, and electronica.

In the early 2000s, Markus fused their love for electronic music with mastering the electric violin, creating a distinctive style characterized by percussive beats generated on the violin's body. Markus achieved notable success with multiple albums and international tours under the alter ego Son of Mars and as part of the award-winning progressive rock IDM duo Fatmagic.

In 2015, Markus found inspiration in the volcanic landscapes of Hawai'i Island, embarking on a transformative journey of musical exploration. Embracing live composition and minimalism, Markus crafts intricate symphonies during real-time performances, inviting listeners on a metamorphic musical journey. Continually pushing boundaries and breaking barriers, Markus's eclectic sound design and live-looping performances resonate with audiences worldwide.

Beyond music, Markus is a student of Buddhism and founder of Audible Peace, a choice awareness meditation practice that fosters harmony and mindfulness for wiser day-to-day decision-making.
